PERM, September 5 (RIA Novosti) - The first shop selling traditional Muslim clothing for women in the Urals has opened in the Perm Territory, a region with a Muslim population of over 200,000, a local governor's press service said Wednesday.
The shop offers a variety of traditional attire, including office and sportswear, which complies with the Muslim dress code. According to Sharia law, a woman can only reveal her face, hands and feet.
A number of shops selling traditional Muslim clothing operate in Russia, including stores in Moscow and Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan, a largely Muslim region on the Volga River.
