MEXICO, September 10 (RIA Novosti) - At least 37 people were killed and around 150 injured when a truck exploded in Mexico, the Europa Press news agency said Monday, quoting local authorities and eyewitnesses.
The incident occurred on a highway in the mining state of Coahuila, in northern Mexico, when a truck carrying 22 tons of explosives collided with another vehicle and caught fire.
According to eyewitnesses, the blast took place around 40 minutes after the initial crash, killing and injuring members of the large crowd that had gathered at the scene, including three journalists who had arrived to cover the initial accident, Europa Press reported.
