ISLAMABAD, September 11 (RIA Novosti) - At least 18 people have been killed and 10 wounded in a terrorist bomb attack in the Pakistani city of Dera Ismailkhan, a police spokesman said.
"A youth, no more than 14 or 15 by the looks of him, blew himself up at a bus stop in the city of Dera Ismailkhan, in the country's northwest border region," he said.
He said the boy, wearing a suicide belt, arrived by bus from the town of Tank, in the northwest frontier province, and was preparing to continue on to his planned destination.
However, he aroused the suspicion of a passing police patrol, which stopped him for questioning, at which time he set off his bomb.
Two police officers were among the dead, and the spokesman said the teenage bomber was most likely affiliated with a radical Islamist group.
