GAZA/TEL AVIV, September 18 (RIA Novosti) - An Israeli soldier and a Palestinian gunmen were killed during an anti-militant operation at the al-Ein refugee camp in the West Bank city of Nablus, said the Israeli army Tuesday.
"Our forces [at the camp] were met by fierce gunfire from Palestinians and several bombs were thrown at them," an Israeli army spokesman said.
Palestinian doctors said a gunman belonging to Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) was killed in the clash. Another gunman was reported wounded.
According to additional media reports, three Palestinians were injured early Tuesday when Israeli troops launched missiles at a Hamas training camp in northern Gaza.
The PFLP member is the fourth Palestinian to be killed by the Israeli army in the past three days. Israel claims that all the dead were militant gunmen.
