MOSCOW, October 7 (RIA Novosti) - A freight vessel with an international crew, including sailors from Russia, has been hit by a powerful storm off the coast of China, the Chinese news agency Xinhua reported Sunday.
The ship, Aladdin Dream, with 27 crewmembers, has been caught by super typhoon Krosa, which made landfall in east China Sunday afternoon. The ship has been drifting after its engine broke down, the agency said.
Chinese rescue teams have launched a rescue operation, the agency said.
