Putin to hold televised phone-in session with public Oct. 18 -1

MOSCOW, October 14 (RIA Novosti) - President of Russia Vladimir Putin will answer Russian citizens' questions in a live TV and radio broadcast on October 18, the presidential press office said on Sunday.

The hotline with the president will begin at 12:00 p.m. Moscow time (08:00 a.m. GMT) and will be broadcast by Rossiya, Channel One and Vesti TV channels and Mayak and Radio of Russia radio stations, the press office said.

During the previous televised question-and-answer session, which was held on October 25, 2006 and lasted almost three hours, the head of state answered 56 questions, out of more than 2 million submitted, mostly on domestic policy. He selected 11 questions himself.
