MOSCOW, October 16 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's state-controlled crude producer Rosneft [RTS: ROSN] said on Tuesday its US GAAP net profit increased 20.9% year-on-year in January-June, to $2.35 billion.
The figure was adjusted for the effect of accrued fines and penalties related to the pre-acquisition tax debt of Yuganskneftegaz, the former core production unit of the now bankrupt oil firm Yukos, Rosneft said.
Revenue in the reporting period climbed 19.3% to $19 billion, Rosneft said.
