NIZHNEVARTOVSK (Western Siberia), October 18 (RIA Novosti) - Crude production at the Samotlor oil field in Western Siberia will stay at the level of 32 million metric tons (240 million barrels), the Russian-British joint venture TNK-BP [RTS: TNBP] said Thursday
TNK-BP, which is a leading crude producer in Russia, also ranked among the world's top 10 independent oil companies, expects to produce around 33 million metric tons of oil at the Samotlor field in 2007, a company official said.
TNK-BP, whose operations are located in Western and Eastern Siberia, and in the Volga-Urals Region, also said it intended to increase proven reserves at its oil deposits in coming years.
