BEIJING, October 25 (RIA Novosti) - Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao will pay an official visit to Russia in early November, a spokesman for China's Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.
"The premier of the Chinese State Council will meet with the Russian prime minister for a 12th regular meeting of the Russian and Chinese heads of government," Liu Jianchao said.
During his visit, the Chinese premier will take part in the closing ceremony of the Year of China in Russia.
His trip to Russia will be a part of a four-country tour of former Soviet republics, from November 2 to 6, Liu said. The premier will visit Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Belarus.
During his visit to Uzbekistan, Wen Jiabao will attend a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in the capital, Tashkent.
