MOSCOW, October 25 (RIA Novosti) - Third-seeded Mikhail Youzhny advanced Thursday to the quarterfinals at the 13th International St. Petersburg Open.
Youzhny defeated Croatia's Mario Ancic in two sets 6-4, 6-2 and will face Germany's Philipp Kohlschreiber in the quarterfinals.
The prestigious tennis tournament, which runs through October 28, was first held in Russia's northern capital in 1995. The prize money on offer has increased from $300,000 to $1 million this year.
