MOSCOW, October 29 (RIA Novosti) - A Moscow court on Monday sanctioned the arrest of six teenagers suspected of murdering a Siberian chess player and attacking an Uzbek worker.
Sergei Nikolayev, a well-known chess player from the Russian republic of Yakutia in East Siberia, was stabbed and beaten to death at the age of 46 by a gang in southwest Moscow on October 20.
On the same day, Rustam Gulimov, 37, a caretaker from Uzbekistan, was hospitalized in a critical condition after similar attack.
A court spokesman said a total of 30 people have been detained in the case. Moscow police said last Thursday they had discovered video footage of the attacks on mobile phones confiscated from the suspects.
