MOSCOW, November 2 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Mikhail Yuzhny will face Spaniard and world No. 2 Rafael Nadal in the quarterfinals of the 2 million euro ($2.9 million) BNP Paribas Masters tennis tournament in France.
On Thursday the 25-year-old Russian defeated in three sets Germany's Tommy Haas 6-4, 1-6, 6-3.
The sensation of Thursday was the defeat of world No. 1 Roger Federer from Switzerland at the hands of Argentina's David Nabaldian.
The Argentine blasted Federer in straight sets 6-4, 7-6 and will meet David Ferrer from Spain in the quarterfinals.
