MOSCOW, November 26 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Progress M-62 cargo spacecraft is to make a flight to the International Space Station (ISS) from the Baikonur launch center in Kazakhstan on December 23, Russia's space agency said on Monday.

"The Progress M-62 will deliver food and water for the crew, as well as fuel to maintain the ISS's orbit, and other cargo and research equipment," the Federal Space Agency said.

The spaceship, to be launched aboard the Soyuz-U carrier rocket, has undergone a series of tests at Baikonur of late. On Monday, it was placed in an acoustic chamber for radio system checks.
