KRASNOYARSK, November 27 (RIA Novosti) - A man in the Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk, recently released from jail, snatched a cake from a passer-by and trampled on it in order to be sent back behind bars, local police said on Tuesday.
"He told the police officers who arrived at the scene that he wanted to go to prison," police spokeswoman Yulia Pechen said.
On conducting checks, police found that he recently served a 12-year sentence for "inflicting injuries resulting in death."
She said the man was arrested, and has been charged with robbery. If found guilty, he faces three more years in prison.
