The tournament is to be held from June 7-29. As Switzerland is not a full member of the Schengen visa agreement, people from countries whose citizens require visas for visits to Austria and Switzerland would normally have to get two visas.
However, under an agreement between the two nations, supporters will be allowed entry into both countries with a 'Eurovisa' to be issued by Austrian consulates.
"The 'Eurovisa' is a special type of Schengen visa for people coming to Euro 2008," said the tourist board official.
"It enters into force in the spring of 2008. A tourist requesting this type of visa will have to prove that he is going to Euro 2008. This can be a ticket for a match or a document confirming that he or she is to receive one," he added.
Russia will play Greece, Spain and Sweden in Group D at Euro 2008 following the results of the draw for the competition in Lucerne, Switzerland on December 3.
