NEW YORK, December 20 (RIA Novosti) - A 25-year-old woman wearing a wedding dress made of toilet-paper has got married in a luxury public lavatory in New York's Times Square, national media said on Thursday.
Jennifer Cannon's long, white gown, which was the winning design in the 2007 toilet paper wedding dress contest, was made entirely of ultra-soft toilet tissue, glue and tape, with frilly cap-sleeves and bow, and a hint of pink around the bust.
"I had seen a picture of it on the Internet, of what the dress could look like and I thought it was very, very beautiful," the groom Doy Nichols said. The dress was designed by Hannah Kim.
The unusual wedding was sponsored by Cheap-Chic-Weddings.com, which paid all the Kentucky couple's expenses, including airline flights, hotel, and a honeymoon package.
After the ceremony their relatives, staying in theme, showered the couple with shredded tissue paper.
