MOSCOW, December 21 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's leading services corporation AFK Sistema said Friday its US GAAP net profit grew 36.4% to $1.1 billion in January-September year on year.
The company's consolidated revenues also increased 36.4% to $9.6 billion, with OIBDA (operating income before depreciation and amortization) going up 19.8% to $3.6 billion in the reporting period.
AFK Sistema also said its third-quarter net profits dropped 54.36% to $228 million against $500 million in the same period last year.
AFK Sistema incorporates telecom, high technology, insurance, real estate, retail trade, mass media, banking and venture companies. In addition, the company is developing business in tourism, radio technology, pharmaceuticals and bio technology. The company's shares are floated on the London Stock Exchange and Russia's MICEX and RTS bourses.
