ST. PETERSBURG, January 13 (RIA Novosti) - A blast has hit a trunk gas pipeline in northwest Russia, with no victims reported in the incident, the regional emergencies center said on Sunday.
"The explosion occurred at about 9:00 a.m. Moscow time [6:00 a.m. GMT] 90 km [56 miles) away from St. Petersburg. No victims have been reported in the incident," the emergencies center said.
Efforts are under way to put out the blaze, the emergencies center said.
