ISLAMABAD, January 27 (RIA Novosti) - Eight people were killed and seven others injured after a three-storey building collapsed on Sunday in the Pakistani city of Rawalpindi, local police said.
The building collapsed after the fireworks illegally stored on its ground floor exploded, the police said.
Efforts are under way to recover people believed to be trapped beneath the rubble, the police said.
The building housed both residential premises and shops on the ground floor, the police said.
