MOSCOW, February 13 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian national soccer team has moved up two places in the FIFA rankings to 22nd, FIFA announced on its website on Wednesday.

Russia's opponents in Group D at Euro 2008, to be held in June in Austria and Switzerland, are Spain, Greece and Sweden. These teams are in 4th place, 10th place and 24th place in the new FIFA rankings, respectively.

The Russian side's Dutch trainer, Guus Hiddink, has also announced that he will arrive in Moscow on February 28 to sign a repeatedly-delayed new contract with the Russian Football Union. There had been media reports of a hitch in negotiations.

"I'm flying to Moscow to sign a contract with the RFU," said Hiddink, speaking to the Dutch newspaper Eindhovens Dagblad on Wednesday.

"We have already agreed on everything, and we just have to iron out a few small points. There were a few issues over tax, but that is behind us now. I like it in Russia. Firstly, the people there are open and kind, and secondly there exists everything necessary for the development of football in the country."
