KAZAN, March 15 (RIA Novosti) - A woman in Kazan, the capital of Russia's Volga republic of Tatarstan, has been detained on suspicion of drowning her two young sons in the bathtub, police said.
The boys were aged four and five years.
"The preliminary investigation has established that the detainee, in a state of drunkenness, drowned her two sons in the bath," a spokesman told RIA Novosti.
He said police are currently deciding whether to hold her in custody.
