MOSCOW, March 25 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Channel One TV station and the U.S.-based satellite TV provider DirecTV have signed an agreement for the exclusive rebroadcast of TV Nanny programs in the U.S., TV Nanny said on Tuesday.
The TV Nanny children's channel will be added to the Russian Direct package produced by the Channel One TV station and broadcast by DirecTV.
"Broadcast of the TV Nanny children's channel in the U.S. is an extremely important stage in the development of our foreign broadcasts," a spokesman for Channel One said.
The round-the-clock channel is produced for children from the age of three to eight. It contains in-house programs, as well as both Russian and foreign cartoons.
There are more than 170,000 children in Russian-speaking families in the U.S., according to the TV Nanny website.
