MOSCOW, March 28 (RIA Novosti) - GDP growth in Russia reached 8.2% in February 2008, and 7.8% in January-February, year-on-year, the country's economics ministry said in a report on Friday.
"The economic growth rate in February was backed by high consumer and investment demand against the background of a rising manufacturing industry," the ministry said.
The country's GDP grew 7.9%, year-on-year, in February 2007.
