GROZNY, March 30 (RIA Novosti) - Nineteen people were injured after a grenade exploded at a wedding party in Chechnya in Russia's North Caucasus region, local police said on Sunday.
The incident occurred late on Saturday in the village of Sary-Su in the Shelkovsky district in northeastern Chechnya when young people started quarrelling, the police said.
"Mostly young people aged 17-25 suffered from the explosion. They received fragmentation wounds," the police said, adding that the injuries were not life-threatening.
An investigation is under way, the police said.
