THE HAGUE, April 29 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov and his Dutch counterpart, Jan Peter Balkenende, signed Tuesday a program for bilateral cooperation in 2008-2010.
The prime ministers have agreed to streamline cooperation in the economic, energy, military and cultural spheres, as well foreign policy and the fight against organized crime.
"The sides will have regular high-level contacts and hold dialogue at a multilateral level," the document said. The Netherlands is Russia's second largest trade partner after Germany with bilateral turnover reaching $53 billion.
The premiers have also agreed to cooperate with business circles in Russia and the Netherlands on the drafting of a new Russia-EU partnership pact.
Last year, Russia and the EU extended the old Partnership and Cooperation agreement for a further year. The sides hope to reach a new deal by the end of 2008.
