MAKHACHKALA, May 11 (RIA Novosti) - Police have found two explosive devices in the Republic of Daghestan in Russia's troubled North Caucasus Region, the republican law-enforcement bodies said on Sunday.
The first explosive device was found early on Sunday on the edge of the village of Shamkhal-Termen in the Kizylyurt district in central Daghestan. Later, police found a bomb in the capital of Daghestan, Makhachkala, the law-enforcement bodies said.
Sporadic terrorist attacks and militant clashes remain rather common in Russia's republics of Ingushetia and Daghestan, as violence spills over from neighboring Chechnya, although the Kremlin has ended its campaign to fight separatists and terrorists there.
