MOSCOW, June 5 (RIA Novosti) - The investment strategy adopted by Russia's Ulyanovsk Region in the Urals provides "unique treatment for foreign investors, practically ‘greenhouse' conditions," said Governor Sergei Morozov.

"This will include tax breaks on property and profits, and lower rent from the regional government. We will also provide them with access to the region's collateral fund, state guarantees, arrange a simple procedure for land registration, and provide support for investment projects," Morozov said in an interview with RIA Novosti before the opening of the 12th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

He added that participating in the annual forum in St. Petersburg was an important part of the region's investment policy.

"We signed four major investment agreements worth over 8 billion rubles ($335 million) during last year's event," Morozov said.
