MOSCOW, June 12 (RIA Novosti) - The number of casualties in a train derailment in the Amur Region has risen to 60, an emergencies ministry spokesperson said on Thursday.
"The number of injured is unchanged - 60 people, 14 of them have been hospitalized," the ministry spokesperson said.
The train was en route from Kharabovsk to Neryungri when the accident happened. There were 410 people on board at the time.
"Railroad personnel have already started the clear up operation. Firefighters, rescuers and medics are continuing to work at the scene," the spokesperson said.
