HARARE, June 29 (RIA Novosti) - Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe won on Sunday the presidential election, in which he was the only candidate, the news agency France Presse said.
Official results said Mugabe, who has ruled the once prosperous nation since its independence from Britain 28 years ago, won in all of the African country's 10 provinces by large margins.
Opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai withdrew from the presidential runoff a week ago because of the campaign of violence in the country.
