MOSCOW, July 2 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's former world No. 1, Marat Safin beat Spain's Feliciano Lopez on Wednesday to go through to the Wimbledon semifinals.
Despite delays caused by rain the unseeded Safin, 28, clinched the match in four sets 3-6, 7-5, 7-6, 6-3 on Wimbledon's No. 1 court to line up a semifinal meeting with five-time champion and number one seed, Roger Federer.
