MOSCOW, July 7 (RIA Novosti) - Sergei Chemezov, the head of the Russian state corporation Rostekhnologii, has been appointed chairman of the board of directors of the KamAZ heavy-duty truck maker, the corporation said on Monday.
"The KamAZ board of directors elected Rostekhologii general director Sergei Chemezov as their chairman after the annual general shareholders meeting," a Rostekhnologii spokesperson said.
Chemezov will now head a second large automotive company after being appointed chairman of the board of directors at AvtoVAZ, the country's biggest carmaker, on June 27.
Rostekhnologii was established by a Russian presidential decree in November 2007 on the basis of arms exporter Rosoboronexport's assets to promote the development, production and export of high-tech industrial products.
