MISSION CONTROL (Moscow Region), July 15 (RIA Novosti) - Two Russian astronauts on the International Space Station have started a spacewalk, which is expected to last five and a half hours, Russia's mission control said Tuesday.

This is the second spacewalk in a week for members of the 17th Expedition crew, Sergei Volkov and Oleg Kononenko, during which they will install a docking target on the Zvezda module to allow a Russian research lab, due to be delivered next year, to dock with the ISS.

On July 11, Volkov and Kononenko made an unplanned spacewalk to remove an explosive bolt from the Soyuz descent capsule, which Russian engineers believe had caused previous capsules to have reentry problems and led to rough flights back to Earth.

In addition the crew will attach an apparatus for a new geophysical experiment onto the Zvezda.
