Vladimir Korenkov, general director of the state enterprise Bazalt, said "the first technical steps have already been taken" to launch co-production of the RGP-32 system. (VIDEO)
He also said two main options were on the table: either a stake in a Jordanian enterprise would be transferred to the Russian side or a new enterprise would be established.
Bazalt Deputy Chief Designer Nikolai Sereda described the RPG-32 as a precision-guided weapon, adding that its performance would be significantly improved by 2010.
He said the system would then have a higher kill probability - 80% at a range of 350-400 meters - without specifying its current effectiveness.
According to Jane's Infantry Weapons, the Hashim RPG-32 is a two-piece modular unit comprising a re-usable firing/sighting unit, which is described as the launcher, and a disposable container with either an anti-tank or thermobaric round.
