MOSCOW, August 10 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Natalia Paderina took the silver medal in the women's 10m Air Pistol event at the Beijing Olympics on Sunday.
The gold medal went to China's Guo Wenjun and Georgia's Nino Salukvadze took the bronze.
Paderina, 32, broke Russia's Marina Logvinenko's Olympic record, set in 1996 at Atlanta, in the qualification round, but in the final it was Guo, the favorite, who clinched the top spot.
The silver is Russia's second medal in the Olympics so far, after Lyubov Galkina clinched second place in the 10m Air Rifle event on Saturday.
