MOSCOW, August 10 (RIA Novosti) - Russia won another silver and bronze medal on Sunday in Beijing, but are still waiting to secure their first Olympic gold.
Russian diving pair Yulia Pakhalina and Anastasia Pozdnyakova took the silver in the women's synchronized 3 meter springboard event behind the Chinese duo of Guo Jingling and Wu Minxia.
Alexei Alipov, the 2004 Olympic champion, became the first Russian male to win a medal in Beijing on Sunday when he beat Australia's Michael Diamond in a shoot-off to clinch the bronze in the trap shooting event.
David Kostelecky from the Czech Republic took the gold and Italy's Giovanni Pellielo was second.
Russia's medal tally currently stands at four - three silver and a bronze.
