ROME, August 21 (RIA Novosti) - A 55-year-old Indian woman has given birth to quadruplets in northern Italy, the ANSA news agency reported on Thursday.
The four boys, weighing between 750 and 980 grams, were born two months premature in Mantua a week ago, the news agency said.
They are currently being treated in hospital, but doctors say they are "doing well." Their mother, who has lived in Italy for 15 years, traveled to India for IVF treatment after several unsuccessful attempts in Italy.
"We have been waiting for this moment for 15 years," the boy's father Pabla Maghar Singh, 38, said. "We are really very happy."
