BUENOS AIRES, August 30 (RIA Novosti) - At least five people were killed and 19 others injured after a double-decker bus overturned in central Argentina, local media said on Saturday.
The accident occurred on Friday night in La Guardia, in the Santa Fe province, when the bus overturned and smashed into a tree. The bus was traveling from Rosario, is the largest city in Santa Fe, to the Misiones province, in the northeast of the country.
Five people died at the scene while others were hospitalized, two of them in a critical state, local officials said.
According to preliminary information, the bus was traveling at high speed at the time of the accident. An investigation is under way.
