MOSCOW, September 26 (RIA Novosti) - France is to extradite on Friday a Russian national wanted at home on fraud and robbery charges, an Interpol source said.
In February 1999, Marian Ivanov and accomplices carried out an armed robbery in the central Russian city of Yaroslavl. He also carried out a number of other crimes before fleeing the country.
"He was living in Western Europe under false documents," the source said.
Ivanov was located in France in 2006, and identified by his fingerprints.
Ivanov will become the third Russian national to be extradited from France in 2008. A total of 44 Russians have been extradited or deported to Russia this year.
On Saturday, Turkey will extradite a Russian citizen charged with embezzling $1.3 million from the state.
