MOSCOW, October 12 (RIA Novosti) - The death toll following an earthquake that hit Russia's North Caucasus on Saturday has risen to 13 while more than 100 people have been injured, the country's emergencies ministry said on Sunday.
The earthquake measuring about 5.6 points on the Richter scale had its epicenter in the Republic of Chechnya and was also felt in five Russian North Caucasus republics and neighboring South Ossetia and Georgia, the emergencies ministry said.
All the earthquake victims were in Chechnya where some buildings had also been damaged by the tremor, the emergencies ministry said.
