MOSCOW, October 14 (RIA Novosti) - A newly-wed man in Russia's Volga republic of Urdmurtia fatally stabbed his bride with a kitchen knife on their wedding night, local investigators said on Tuesday.
After the wedding ceremony in the Sarapulsky District the groom, who had been heavily drinking, got into a fierce argument with his wife, who he accused of cheating on him, an investigator told RIA Novosti.
"The quarrel ended when the man took a knife from the kitchen and stabbed his wife several times in the chest," the official said.
A criminal case has been opened. The suspect faces up to 15 years in jail.
