ASTANA, October 21 (RIA Novosti) - A 40-year-old Russian pilot was killed in a helicopter crash in southern Kazakhstan, the Central Asian country's emergency ministry said on Tuesday.
The AO Sky Service helicopter was on a domestic flight from Kordai to Balkhash on Sunday when it crashed into the side of a mountain in fog.
The emergency ministry statement said "the pilot died at the scene."
A passenger in the helicopter, a 39-year-old man from Kyrgyzstan, was reported to have received medical treatment before being sent home.
