MEXICO CITY, October 22 (RIA Novosti) - A pilot and four passengers were killed when a twin-engine light aircraft crashed in west-central Mexico shortly after takeoff, local emergency services said on Wednesday.
The Cessna 310 aircraft, en route to Nuevo Laredo, in the state of Tamaulipas, took off from Ciudad Victoria on Tuesday. The plane crashed 1.5 kilometers from the runaway, shortly after the pilot informed local air traffic controllers of a technical failure.
Emergency services were at the crash scene investigating the cause of the accident.
