MOSCOW, October 22 (RIA Novosti) - Boeing's U.S. GAAP net income in July-September declined 38% year-on-year to $695 million, the company said on Wednesday.
Revenues for the quarter declined 7% year-on-year, to $15.3 billion.
The company's net profit in January-September declined 9% against the same period of 2007, to $2.8 billion. Revenues over the nine months fell 1% to $48.2 billion.
The company said the reason for the decline was an ongoing strike by employees, which has lasted for 46 days and cost the air giant some $4.6 billion.
