MOSCOW, October 23 (RIA Novosti) - CSKA Moscow started the group stage of the UEFA Cup by strolling to a 3-0 win over Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna.
At a nearly empty Luzhniki Stadium Alan Dzagoyev put the hosts 2-0 up within 12 minutes and Vagner Love, reportedly a transfer target for Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur, sealed the victory in the 61st minute.
The goals continue a good month for midfielder Dzagoyev, who won his first caps for Russia earlier this month in the World Cup qualifiers against Germany and Finland.
Later on Thursday, French club Nancy host Feyenoord of the Netherlands, while the fifth team in Group H, Poland's Lech Poznan, start their campaign on November 6.
The top three teams in the group stages go through to the knockout stages in the new year, when they will be joined by the third-placed teams from the Champions League groups.
