VELIKY NOVGOROD, November 3 (RIA Novosti) - A teenager was killed and another seriously injured when the scooter they were riding on crashed into two cars in the Novgorod Region, a traffic police source said on Monday.
It is believed that the scooter hit the side of a car before veering off to hit another car head-on on the highway between Kresttsy and Borovichi.
The traffic police spokesman said the 14-year-old scooter passenger died at the scene, while the driver was taken to hospital with multiple fractures.
The source said the driver of the second vehicle, who was in a state of shock, drove off following the accident but was later detained by police.
