MOSCOW, November 4 (RIA Novosti) - An 81-year-old man died after being hit by a car driven by a police officer in western Russia's Belgorod Region, a local police source said on Tuesday.
The incident took place on Monday evening in the village of Streltskoye, in the Krasnogvardeysky District.
"The 25-year-old senior officer, driving a police vehicle, hit a pensioner, year of birth 1927, who suddenly stepped out into the road," the source told RIA Novosti.
The elderly man died at the scene. An investigation is underway.
