ATHENS, November 9 (RIA Novosti) - At least three people died and eight others were missing in the rubble after an apartment building collapsed in southern Albania, the Greek radio Sky reported on Sunday.
The tragedy occurred on Sunday in the southern city of Gjirokastra. Rescue teams were unable to search the debris due to the threat that the building's remaining wall could collapse, the radio station said.
The causes of the tragedy are not yet known. It is believed that unauthorized repair works could have caused the collapse of the seven-storey building.
