WASHINGTON, November 15 (RIA Novosti) - Russia could soon join the Financial Stability Forum uniting representatives of national finance ministries, central banks and international financial institutions, a source in the Russian delegation to the G20 summit said Saturday.
"Apparently, all the countries at the G20 summit have been invited to join the forum. Russia will probably soon become a member of this organization," the source said, citing the forum's chairman, Mario Draghi.
The Financial Stability Forum was formed by the G7 in 1999 to help create better functioning and more stable financial markets, and to try to prevent financial shocks spreading from county to country.
