MOSCOW, November 27 (RIA Novosti) - The first part of a Russian-Chinese vegetable processing plant is to be opened in northwest Russia's Veliky Novgorod Region in December, local authorities said on Thursday.
The project, whose cost is estimated at $20 million, is jointly run by China's Guangxi agro-industrial complex and Russia's Velikaya Gora logistics center.
In the first half of 2008, trade between the Veliky Novgorod Region and China reached $171.7 million, amounting to 18.5% of the region's foreign trade.
"Relations with China are developing dynamically, and we expect our economic ties to become more intensive," Governor Alexander Gabitov told RIA Novosti
