CAIRO, December 9 (RIA Novosti) - Police in Cairo have arrested 50 young men for harassing women on the first day of celebrations of the Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha (festival of the sacrifice), national media reported Tuesday.
According to security sources, groups of young men from the southern provinces
insulted female passers-by in the Egyptian capital and even tried to tear off their headscarves.
In October, Cairo police detained 38 young men, also from the country's southern provinces, on similar charges.
